Clinical Informatics Manager The position can be offered on a freelance or part-time basis Cura9 is a HealthTech startup developing an innovative platform designed to improve the quality of care for long-term care residents. The platform manages clinical information and care and operational workflows in nursing homes and long-term care facilities. Our system connects multidisciplinary care teams, centralizes clinical information, integrates AI-powered tools, and helps improve continuity of care and clinical team efficiency. We are looking for an experienced Clinical Informatics Manager to provide clinical leadership and manage a team responsible for developing and maintaining the platform's clinical content repositories. The role includes team management and training, establishing methodologies and workflows, and overseeing quality assurance. The primary objective is to ensure that clinical terminology lists and datasets are professionally validated, properly coded, aligned with clinical workflows, and compliant with international medical terminology standards and FHIR-based data exchange requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage, guide, and train a team responsible for developing clinical terminology lists and datasets covering diagnoses, symptoms, findings, clinical measurements, medications, wounds, and clinical procedures. Identify and select authoritative clinical sources, medical terminology systems, and reference databases, in accordance with the platform's requirements and the needs of the elderly care population. Guide and oversee the selection of clinical concepts and codes, including mapping to standards such as SNOMED CT, ICD, and LOINC, while ensuring clinical accuracy and preservation of meaning. Establish procedures for documenting sources, mappings, terminology versions, and identifying licensing requirements and usage restrictions. Collaborate with Product, Implementation, and Development teams to integrate clinical terminology lists into system workflows and data interfaces. Lead the implementation of the FHIR protocol within the platform, including resource and profile specification, data mapping, and validation of compliance with the standard. Ensure professional validation and approval of deliverables in coordination with relevant clinical domain experts. Manage user feedback, terminology updates, and change management processes.
