Clinical Informatics Specialist Medical or Pharmacy Student – Part-Time Position About Cura9 Cura9 is a Health Tech startup developing an advanced platform designed to improve the quality of care for long-term care residents. Our platform supports medical information management and clinical and operational workflows in nursing homes and long-term care facilities. The platform connects multidisciplinary teams, centralizes medical information, integrates AI-powered tools, and helps improve continuity of care and clinical team collaboration. We are looking for a Medical Student in the clinical years (Years 4–6) or a Pharmacy Student in the advanced stages of their degree to join us in a hands-on and fascinating role at the intersection of medicine, technology, and clinical information. The role involves building, organizing, classifying, and maintaining clinical content and medical terminology databases for an advanced Health Tech platform, under the guidance and supervision of our Clinical Informatics Manager and in close collaboration with our Product and Development teams. This is an opportunity to take part in building the clinical foundations of the platform and gain hands-on experience in how medical information is structured, coded, and used to support clinical decision-making and care management. Key Responsibilities Collecting and consolidating clinical information from reliable professional medical sources. Building and organizing clinical lists and terminology databases covering areas such as diagnoses, symptoms, clinical findings, measurements, medications, wounds, and care procedures. Identifying medical concepts and codes in international terminology systems and coding standards, including SNOMED CT, ICD, and LOINC, and mapping local terminology to international standards. Aligning medical terminology in Hebrew and English, including definitions, synonyms, and relationships between clinical concepts. Performing data quality checks and identifying duplicates, inconsistencies, contradictions, and information gaps. Preparing structured data files for system implementation, primarily using Excel. Assisting in mapping medical information to FHIR data structures. Documenting information sources, clinical decisions, terminology mappings, and updates. Collaborating with Product and Development teams to ensure clinical content meets the platform's requirements.
